I am a hockey fan, and I’ve always
wanted to work for the Philadelphia
Flyers. Holy Family’s co-op program
gave me that opportunity, by
arranging an internship with the
Flyers. I worked for the Philadelphia
Flyers Charities Office–on their
main event, the Flyers Wives Fight
For Lives Carnival, which has raised
over $18 million dollars for local
charities. I helped to plan the
event and sell tickets. I helped put
together the event’s program book.
During the event, I helped fans
acquire pictures and autographs
from the players. Working with
the Flyers, walking into the
Wachovia Center each day–it
was a dream come true, a lifelong
dream I hope to continue
upon graduation.
