Major: English Literature
When I came to Holy Family, I
had no idea what I wanted to do.
My major was undecided until my
sophomore year, but, thanks to
my professors, I was never discouraged.
Instead, I was told to
study what I love, and that I’d
figure out something to do
with it later. My love was reading
and writing—I know, English major,
what do you do with that?!—but
my professors continually encouraged
me, helping me to explore the
possibilities. And so I studied English.
I explored great literature. I grew
as a writer. And I enjoyed every
single minute of it. Today? I work
as a journalist at the Bucks County
Courier Times—and I love it!
