Dr. Ana Maria Catanzaro
Dr. Ana Maria Catanzaro is the Interim Dean of the School of Nursing and Allied Health Professions. She brings 35 years of nursing experience and has taught in several schools of nursing since 1993. Dr. Catanzaro earned an AD in Nursing at Northern Virginia Community College and a BSN at La Salle University. She holds a Master of Science in Community/Public Health Nursing from La Salle University, A Master of Arts in Religious Studies/Moral Theology from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, a Master of Health Sciences in Clinical Research from Duke University, and PhD from The Catholic University of America. Dr. Catanzaro also completed a Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship at the Center for Spirituality, Theology and Health at Duke University’s Center for Aging and Human Development. During her 35 years in the nursing profession, Dr. Catanzaro has worked in medical/surgical nursing, maternal/child nursing, critical care nursing, school nursing, and public health nursing. Her teaching and research interests are in Public Health Nursing, Spirituality and Health, and Health Care Ethics. Dr. Catanzaro has served as MSN Chair at Holy Family University since 2009 and assumed the Interim Dean position in October 2012.
