The Teacher Completion Program
Holy Family University—Newtown
The Teacher Completion Program is designed for new, full-time transfer
students looking for an affordable way to complete their undergraduate
education degree and teacher certification within the Bucks County area.
This program is designed for Elementary Education and Elementary/Special
Education majors with courses held at Holy Family University–Newtown.
Full-time students in the program receive a $5,000 grant from Holy Family
University and may be eligible to receive additional academic scholarships
ranging from $3,000 to $5,500. Students also may apply for state and federal
aid.

on the East Coast. Our Model Classroom at Newtown, equipped with advanced
technologies and specialized classroom equipment, is among the best for
training teachers. Our experienced faculty give personal attention, and
our students are successfully employed in public and private school districts
throughout the Delaware Valley.

What if I decide to change majors after the first semester? Will
the grant be available in the spring at other Holy Family University
sites?
No. Eligibility is only for students accepted in the Elementary
Education or Elementary Education/Special Education programs offered
at Holy Family University - Newtown. If you decide to change majors
after the first semester, the grant would no long apply.
How long will it take me to complete my degree?
Time of degree completion is dependent on how many credits are transferred
and how many credits are taken each semester. We anticipate at
least two additional years will be needed to obtain your certification
and meet degree requirements.
